The 2018 Mandurah Readers & Writers Festival promises lots of fun with a jam-packed schedule featuring author talks, panel discussions, guest speakers and a pyjama party.
Where: Mandurah Performing Arts Centre, Ormsby Terrace, Mandurah, WA 6210
Cost: Free, but must be booked.
More Details: Running from 22nd to 23rd August, come along and hear literary conversations and presentations by local authors Liz Byrski, Amanda Curtin, Michelle Johnston, Carrie Cox, Louise Allan, Dervla McTiernan, Laurie Steed, Jodie Moffat, Maria Scoda and Susan Laura Sullivan.

Come along to hear Louise Allan discuss her novel, 'The Sisters' Song' and her pathway from doctor to writer.
Where: Fullers Bookshop, 131 Collins Street, Hobart
More Details: Louise grew up in Launceston and studied Medicine at the University of Tasmania in Hobart. In 2010, she swapped her stethoscope for a pen, and took up writing. She now lives in Perth, Western Australia, but set her début novel in the state of her birth.
